Thanksgiving Makeup Style

I know that you have a fabulous Thanksgiving day planned. I know I do. It’s one of the best things about the holiday’s – getting dressed up, applying makeup and doing your hair – to have that stunning holiday look. It’s fabulous. It’s fun. It’s all about looking great.

The best part is, I’m going to help you with what makeup styles to pull off this Thanksgiving as well as what hairstyles to pull off. And if you want to know what to wear on Thanksgiving – well Pinup Chronicles has you covered with that. And since she shows you what to pull off with fashion, I am going to help you get the perfect looks to match.

So let’s start with her western inspired style and what makeup to match:

The colors for this fashion style are rich fall reds, browns and dashes of  turquoise and embellishments of nudes. To match you want to go with:

brown eye makeup

A brown smokey eye, I recommend You Can Never Be To Rich by bareMinerals. It is matte – so that is perfect with the fall makeup trends. Top the look off with Gingersnap Lipstick from bareMinerals.

If the brown smokey eye isn’t for you, hone in on the nude embellishments and add flair to it with coppery delight:

copper makeup

This look is sweeps of copper along your eyes and cheeks topped with the right brown eyeliner and soft mascara. I recommend Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Terracotta and Make Up Forever’s Star Powder in Copper for your cheeks.  Top off the look with a sweep a soft peach lip stain from TheBalm.

Now let’s move on to the elegant, lady like and retro inspired ensemble that is featured. This look as stated screams classy but haute. You need to go over the top with your makeup to really create this look and stand out.

I advise your lips being your focal point and adding only sweeps of like color to the eyes.

dark red lips

This look above is one of my favorites with the lips being what draws you in. Go for Rosary lipstick from Kat Von D. Or if that just isn’t suiting you, try a richer or different red.

red lips

This look is amazing with the sweeps of pink across the eyes and the darkness of the lips standing at full attention. It’s as if wine is painted across your lips. Try Illamasqua lipstick in Box. Don’t forget to top off both of these with a fabulous matte black nail color.

But if either of those are far to bold and you want to stay with earthy and neutral fall colors this Thanksgiving:

brown lips

Go for bronzed or coral cheeks and warm eye colors and try Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Sarina to top off the entire look.

Keep your eyes peeled before Thanksgiving gets here as I will have one or more posts to make this holiday fabulous with hair and more!
