Pledging to be positive?

Somethings happen in life that just really aren’t what you decided you wanted to happen.  Sometimes as adults (maybe a small portion of them) accept that survival and sucking up the fact that you just have to do things you don’t wanna do (within reason, morals etc) – is something you have to do.

As much as I would like to give a detailed explanation of it, I’m tired and my house is dirty. My kids are also staring at me through my office window in hopes that I will become entertainment director and tell them WHAT to do since they can’t figure it out themselves at this moment. All factors in me not having the patience to type out a long winded story about MY life and why the following email I got is a silver lining.

It came to me a few days ago from a unknown person by the name of Carrie at the Higher Level Group. I’m 100% positive that the purpose of the email was to do exactly what I am doing and post it. Well good for her for happening upon luck and a person who deemed the email fitting – I’m posting aren’t I? Either way it’s called the positive pledge. I like these lines:

I believe my best days are ahead of me, not behind me.

When I meet failure I will fail forward towards future success.

When I experience a set-back I will be resilient.

When I experience a challenge I will look for opportunity to learn and grow.
