I miss Brent

The days are just getting longer and longer. It’s hotter than hades down here. Things are going on that I want to talk to him about and share with him. Luckily he’ll be home in a couple weeks. I thought that it would get easier the longer we did this. No. It only gets harder and harder.

Anyways I miss Brent so I made this little video. I’ve heard this song a million times, but the other day when I heard it, well it just struck me differently. Lyrics are below it.

Baby
It’s been a long day, baby.
Things ain’t going my way
you know I need you here
here by my side
all of the time

And Baby, the way you move me its crazy.
it’s like, you see right through me, you make it easier,
You please me and you don’t even have to try.

oh because,
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
ever happened to me

Baby,
We’ve come a long way, baby.
you know, I hope and I pray that you believe me
When I say this love will never fade away

oh because
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
ever happened to me

Now both of us have known love before,
To come on up promising, like the spring, just walk on out the door.
Our hearts are kind and are hearts are strong.
well, let me tell you what exactly is on my mind.

you are the best thing
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
ever happened to me

you are the best thing
you are the best thing
you are the best thing
ever happened to me

yeah, yeah
yeah, yeah, yeah,
now, now, now, now

I felt that way when hubby was on four weeks of mandatory overtime. I only got to see him about one hour a day before he had to head off to bed to get little sleep and be up at 3 am to be back at work by 4. It was hard. Luckily he has four days off in a row now before they start a different work schedule. Yet, he told me, be prepared because some of the days I am scheduled to be off with my new schedule, will end up being mandatory work days again, since they don’t have enough qualified individuals on board yet. It’s hard to get new qualified workers too, since they know in about 2 and a half to three years the place will be closing because all the work will be done. People are looking for jobs with more of a promise of continued work.
I really missed him, but it’s nice having him home more right now.
So I have empathy for your situation.
