Furniture Dilemma

Right now I have pretty hideous couches. The stuffing is going so flat on the cushions, the legs on the sides are having issues pulling out. They are quite simply put, old. We’ve had them for about five years I want to say. I’ve scrubbed them. I’ve spot cleaned them. I’ve pressure washed the crap out of them.

Brent and I have put off buying new furniture for various reasons. 1. We haven’t found the perfect couch that we want. 2. Coming up with good enough reasoning to spend that kind of money when are couches are still perfectly usable. 3. With me being in school, at the most we will only be here for four more years before we are whisked away to whatever place I start my med school at. Which means, moving it.

When we moved here to Arizona we had to use the largest truck, plus our pick up truck AND we did leave some items in Texas with family because we couldn’t fit them. If we decide to get the couch we want, like the one above, I can only imagine we would have to leave half the house or pay for a whole other moving truck.  I suppose a safe and easier way to do it is by shipping furniture to our new residence.

Like I said we have a furniture dilemma and for now we are just resting, not on our laurels, but our used couches.

  1. Yeah this is a struggle. We have Ashley furniture and while it is OKAY, I long to get new because it is stained and old. I dont want to do it right now because I want the kids to be a little older. It’s a dilemma for me too. I hate the old, but am afraid of the new!
