Easy Apple Crisp

The following is a very basic and easy recipe for apple crisp. It takes very little time, requires very little ingredients and tastes pretty amazing. It’s similar to apple pie but it’s also not your average apple crisp. This recipe is very easy to mix up and use a wide variety of ingredients and different kinds of apples. The only thing I will note is I do very little measuring. I can give you my best estimation, but it ends up making about 8 servings.

Easy Apple Crisp
Recipe type: Dessert
Delicious, fairly inexpensive and super simple dessert recipe.
  • About 5 Apples. Your choice of kind.
  • 2 Cups of Instant Oatmeal
  • 1 to 1.5 Cups of Sugar (White or Brown)
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 1-2 Cups of Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon of Cinnamon
  • ¼ Cup of Flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Then grab a Tupperware container. Use an apple slicer to remove core and slice apples. I like to then cut the apples up into chunks. Throw them into the container with lemon juice and cinnamon.
  3. Close, shake and set aside in refrigerator.
  4. Now melt the stick of butter in a microwavable bowl and after add vanilla and half of the sugar.
  5. Then slowly pour the butter mixture over the oats in a separate bowl until its a bit thick in consistency.
  6. Add the flour only to keep the oats from separating during cooking.
  7. Now in a pan toss in your apple including the lemon juice.
  8. Add the remaining sugar, any extra cinnamon, butter and lightly dust with flour.
  9. Then coat with the oat mixture.
  10. I allow it to cook for about 30-45 minutes or until the apples are soft.
  11. Serve with yummy vanilla ice cream!

Remember to mix it up and experiment with any recipe. This is just a basic guideline of what I use to make it. You can add in, take out and use less of anything! Just enjoy!
