Christmas Presents

I figured I would have been on top of this keeping up with how Christmas and everything went. Nope. Sorry. I suck. I have so many posts I need to get out, but I am falling behind.

Christmas was amazing. Brent and I wanted Christmas, just one, with ourselves. Every year we travel here, we travel there and we don’t just enjoy the kids’ excitement etc. I even cooked a meal just for us – my first turkey. We had turkey, ham, sweet potato pie, potato casserole, corn casserole, fruit salad, veggie platter, a cheese ball and much more. We munched all day, played Wii, watched the kids ride their bikes and had a good family time. It was special. It was our first real Christmas just us and it being intimate made it so much more special.

We bought the kids a decent amount of toys, things we knew they wanted but didn’t go over what we budgeted. Santa brought them new bikes and they have been extra careful in taking care of them. I didn’t know that Tristan could peddle a big girl bike so I was so shocked and proud to see her get on her bike and take off! They had a great Christmas and over and over again kept telling us, “This is the best Christmas ever!”. Which was worth everything to us!

Here are a couple pictures from Christmas! Enjoy!

  1. We stayed home this year instead of traveling to my husband’s mothers house. I didn’t cook. Actually I was in bed sick, throwing up and everything all day but it was nice to be home and not have to travel this year!

  2. Adorable, Brittany. Seriously.
I remember the year we finally decided to quit hauling the kids and all the presents to the in-laws and stay home instead…and start our own traditions…
it was SO much more wonderful…
and the grandparents would come later that day or the next…but the intimacy of just our family was so wonderful…I am glad you had that chance to see and feel it…

  3. We had a fabulous Holiday. There were so many presents even the dog knew how to pick his and unwrap them. We baked and baked – there was enough food to feed an army, lol
